Welcome to our InclusiveCare247
Cerebral Palsy (CP) is a lifelong disorder that affects around 1 in 400 people in the UK. While it is a non-progressive disorder, it can affect the body in numerous ways. It affects people in different ways, therefore, the care required can vary dramatically. If provided with the right care and rehabilitation, service users with cerebral palsy can go on to live fulfilled and independent lives
Cerebral Palsy has several associated conditions, which can include the following symptoms:
Most of Inclusivecare247 staff are highly trained in working with cerebral palsy clients. We are mindful when assigning carers to ensure you are matched with the person best equipped to help you live a full and independent life.
In many cases, the exact cause isn’t clear, however, some things believed to cause Cerebral Palsy are: bleeding in the baby’s brain, reduced blood or oxygen supply, an infection caught by the mother during pregnancy, Meningitis or a serious injury to the brain.
Cerebral Palsy can vary from very mild to severe and therefore care also varies. Care includes not only attempting to improve mobility, but also ensuring that the comfort and needs of our clients are fully met.
Care For Older Clients: When a client enters adulthood, care will shift to helping them travel to and from work and maintaining as much independence as possible.
No matter the age of the client, our main priority is ensuring their happiness by helping them to become as independent as possible, and ensuring the condition doesn’t prevent them from doing things they want.
A quality care plan should be fully tailored to meet the specific needs and requirements of each client. Therefore, our managers work closely with the client and their family to create a plan that aims to improve their day-to-day life.
This can include identifying methods and tools to assist with movement and muscle control and introducing systems to enable the client to control their own environment as much as possible.
Due to the varying degree of symptoms, the case worker creating your plan should monitor the situation extremely carefully in order to understand both the clinical and personal needs of the client.
The care plan should be reviewed and amended regularly to suit the changing needs and requirements of the client. With the right care plan, many Cerebral Palsy sufferers can go on to live rich and fulfilled lives.
Inclusivecare247 insist on delivering an unmatched level of care, and in order to do this, we only recruit and select the most appropriate and skilled caregivers
